Our friends at Exeter Community Initiatives have been a fundamental point of reference throughout the lockdown. Now that restrictions are lifting, they are busy resuming activities and organising new ones. Below are only a few. Check ECI’s website for more information.
The BIKE BANK offers practical skills training in bike maintenance & refurbishment. Courses run for a half-day over 6 weeks. Email bikebank@eci.org.uk or call 07547 958156.
REMADE is a new project providing training in upcycling, re-using and reclaiming materials to create products for personal use or for sale. A course is running for a half-day over 6 weeks, starting on 19th May, in collaboration with Co-Create and Wood for Good in their premises above the Bakehouse on Sidwell Street. Aimed at people in recovery. Email remade@eci.org.uk or call 07547 958 156.
The TRANSITIONS project is also working on an exciting series of workshops: from cooking to budgeting, moving home, or fostering healthy habits. Check our events calendar or the Transition webpage for more information.
Just want to connect? Transitions meet-ups have returned!
Next meet-up will be on Cathedral Green (near the big tree) on Friday 14th May at 1:00pm. All welcome, bring your lunch. Look out for the big black golfing umbrella!
