Our aim is to provide therapeutic support to families and individuals so they can recover from the trauma of domestic abuse and violence. In addition we provide therapeutic trauma recovery services to those who have experienced childhood trauma.
What we offer:
SAFE delivers a vital service for those affected by domestic violence and abuse, with support offered in the community, schools and from the SAFE hub in Exeter. This is provided through individual counselling, therapeutic groups and support to children and families. We also provide a range of training and consultancy services to professionals. SAFE does not provide crisis services but is focussed on supporting those who have experienced trauma to rebuild their lives, form healthy relationships and move forwards to lead happier lives free from the impact of trauma.
“The service has supported my family to change in a very positive way, giving my boys the future they deserve”
“I feel better at home, not so angry with my mum and actually see her feelings when I’m angry”
The most beneficial part [of the course] was to realise I am a somebody who deserves better. I’m worth more.’
‘The group has helped me to believe in myself much more. It has been incredibly useful sharing feelings and experiences with others who understand…it can change your perspective on life and how you fit into it.’
